Anderson Visitors

Dan and Annie flew out for a quick trip (48 hours) in Arizona.  Reese was SO excited to have them come out and stay with us.  On Friday night we picked them up from the airport then headed home to make homemade pizzas and just enjoy each other's company.

Saturday morning we headed to the Desert Botanical Gardens to enjoy the outdoors, great weather and new sculptures.

These four seasons sculptures are made by Philip Haas inspired by Guiseppe Archimboldo's paintings.
Reese's favorite was Winter (above).  It was a little creepy but it was my favorite also.

Reese wouldn't smile for the picture so I knew if I did this she would!

With the Chihuly sculptures!

After the DBG we had lunch at the Food Trucks at the Phoenix Arts Festival.
We just had to have Short Leash!

We headed home after Food Trucks to have a nap then went to Four Peaks for dinner (which Reese did amazing at) then to the Phoenix Zoo for Zoo Lights.

It was crazy busy with tons of people.

And Reese loved riding on Dan's shoulders.

I think the only real animals we saw was a vulcher and some flamingos.

Sunday we had breakfast at The Good Egg with Karen and Bob then headed home to just play outside and enjoy having visitors.

Here is our newest trick.  I love her face above!

It was a really great weekend that went by way too fast.  I am SO glad they were able to visit.
Reese and I both cried the entire way home from the airport.  We both miss them tons already.
