Reese Quote

Today Reese was calling question marks "mystery marks." I think I like that name better.

Fancy

She's so fancy, you already know.

The Children's Museum of Indianapolis: Terra Cotta Warriors

Reese had been such a champ with all the moving that we needed to take a morning to so something fun together, just the two of us.  Reese picked the Children's Museum which I was excited about because an exhibition of the Terra Cotta Warriors had just opened that I wanted to see.

They were pretty cool!

And they had created all kinds of ways to make the exhibition kid-friendly.

Train ticket taker, Reese

They had a "take me to china" exhibit where you flew in a plane and landed to experience all things in the orient. Here is Reese cooking me noodles at the restaurant.

And tending to pandas at the conservatory.

Then we rode the carousel.

Drove an Indy car.

Ate a dino cookie.

And rode the great wall of china slide about 15 times.

Then we topped off the day with ice cream.

Strawberry Picking

I left work early on Friday so that I could pick up Reese and head to Spencer Farms to pick some strawberries.  We had so much fun doing it and the berries were amazing.  This will be a new family tradition.

Camping: IN Dunes

Reese and I drove up for an awesome weekend of camping with my mom and Marc.

It was a glamping weekend there which provided for some fun programs.

Reese did her workbook so that she could become a junior ranger!

We went into Chesterton to go to the European Market which of course included a trip onto the library and the used book store.

This kid loves ribs!

Reese completed the 3 Dune Challenge with my mom and Marc.  Here she is falling down one of those dunes...

It was a beautiful weekend to be outside!

SRC

We kicked off Summer Reading Club at the beginning of June. It was crazy but also fun to see the kids of Tipton so excited.  Michelle painted these shoes for me.  She is SO talented!

With the move to Tipton, Reese is able to come to our library programs.  Here she is at kick-off at the slime table.  She loved these and the bouncy house.

New House

At the beginning of June, I received the keys to our new house in Tipton!

Love having a yard again!

Ugh, we started moving things pretty much every day.

And we had to buy a pool.

Thanks to friends and my mom, everything is moved into the new house.
Thanks to Annie and Kathy who helped us shop the next weekend.
Finally, thanks to Reese for being so awesome about change.
