Reese Quote

In the car on the way to her preschool, Reese says to me "I prefer not to tell you this, but I will.  In my dream last night, you were a skeleton. A nice one not a mean one. Okay, I'll continue, Mimmie was one too and Grandpa had a pumpkin head."

I prefer and I'll continue?  Couldn't be cuter coming out of a five year old!

Mother Goose

Look I found Reese in an old Mother Goose book.

Easter

Coloring eggs with Mimmie and Sophia

The Griffith Easter Egg hunt.

She did awesome at this egg hunt!

Then we played at Grandpa's house.

And went for a walk.

Then Grandpa and Reese slept in a tent in the living room.

And the Easter Bunny brought Rapunzel's wedding day set and the Haunted Mansion DVD, along with seventy some eggs hidden around the house.

Then it was Easter dinner at Aunt Kathy's house where we decapitated the lamb cake.  Good food and good people.  Then it was back home.

Fair Oaks Farm

On Good Friday, we headed up north to meet my Mom and Sophia at Fair Oaks Farm.

Where we saw momma pigs and her piglets.

Had a tasty lunch!

Watched a 4D movie that neither of the girls enjoyed.

Then we played inside for a bit.

Then outside for a bit.

Then it was off to see the dairy cows.

This milking carousel was my favorite part.

Noblesville Easter Egg Hunt

The weekend before Easter we headed to Forest Park for the Noblesville Easter Egg Hunt.
I have never seen so many families in my life.

Reese decided that she wanted to wait in line to get her arm painted. It was a good idea because the line was the shortest and moved quickly.  We had the perfect amount of time to get that done then get ready for the eggs.

Reese grabbed three eggs and then was done, even though she could have grabbed more.  This actually worked out because we headed over to the bouncy house where there was no line and she got right in.

Since it was so crazy at the park, we decided to head over to Connor Prairie.
course, we had to have ice cream with sprinkles.  Reese had her heart set on it.

There were babies in the barn! Goats, lambs, calves and 2 day old chicks!  So cute!

We spent some time in what we call Laura and Mary's (Ingalls Wilder) house playing checkers. I think Reese may have actually won if we didn't have to leave to go to the bathroom.

The next day we stopped at Barnes and Noble where I was impressed that Reese knew who Grumpy Cat was.  Coolest kid ever!

Bowling!

Reese went bowling with school for a spring break field trip and asked if we could go.
So, why not on a Sunday afternoon?

Indiana State Museum

The summer after I finished college, I worked at the Indiana State Museum selling tickets, welcoming school groups and answering phones in the call center.  It was fun to share this piece of me with Reese.

We saw an Imax movie about lemurs that was too cute.

Then we saw an exhibit on mastodons.

After the Museum visit, we headed to Indy Reads Books which should have happened a long time ago. Adorable little used book store that I see many times in our future.
