Latest and greatest

I have spent the past two Valentines Days with Reese.  I think I am making a tradition of it.  So when I saw this pattern for embroidered Valentines Day frames, I had couldn't pass them up.

I have been lacking motivation and stuck in the middle of a number of projects so I'm super glad to have this one out of my head. I can't wait to send it to Reese :)

Chef Amy

The best part of my living situation right now are Wazny Family Dinners.  Amy is a wonderful cook and it is like watching the Food Network when you watch her. I thought she needed blog props.

We had a monkey bread fiasco but didn't it look pretty.  In the picture you can't see the smoke that filled the house.

This is a picture of my desk last week.  It was just too pretty not to share.

Dad's Visit

My dad came in for a visit this weekend and nothing went at planned but we had a really good weekend.  Friday morning we had breakfast at Matt's Big Breakfast, the cutest little dinner in downtown Phoenix that was featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives.  It was a long wait but the food was amazing!  Eveything is organic and locally grown.  It was a great way to start my dad's visit.

Then we went to the Museum to see the Ansel Adams: Discoveries exhibition, which sparked an intense coversation comparing black and white photography to color.  Then we went to The Poisoned Pen and had some Jamba Juice.  After a trip to the Apple Store and Borders, we had to take a nap then we went to Outback for dinner.

Saturday we met Karen and Bob in Tucson and walked around the U of A campus then had lunch at Gentle Ben's Brewery.
A new addition to the Wildcat family :)

Sunday was cold and rainy so instead of the Scottish games we had breakfast at Ihop with the Wazny family then went to see Up in the Air.  My dad's friend Brian was feeling better so we went up to his home for dinner and the closing ceremonies of the Olympics.

Today was beautiful.  We had a slow morning but it was nice to be out in the sun at Hole in the Rock then lunch at Four Peaks Brewery.
It was strange at first to be spending time with my dad and not have Reese around.  We were such a good team when it came to taking care of her.  It was just different to be able to enjoy his company without the distraction.  It was nice having him here.  I can't wait for him to visit again when my life is a little more settled.
