To celebrate Reese's fifth birthday we headed for a wonderful weekend in Chicago.
We started out at the American Girl Store in Watertower Place. Reese was so excited to get some new things for her Bitty Baby. She chose so well, picking a canopy for Bitty's crib, a high chair for her to sit at the table with us and a lemonade stand.
Then it was off to the Lego store where she picked out a Little Mermaid lego kit and made some people.
Then we had lunch at Mity Nice, Chewy's restaurant in Water Tower Place. The food was SO good and Reese ate very well.
They had a dirt cake sent out so we could all sing to her.
Complete with worms.
Then it was off to ice skating at Millennium Park.
Her little skates were the cutest things ever!
Thank goodness Annie skated with us because she really helped to hold us up.
None of us fell. It was just fun and exciting. Reese has been talking about ice skating for about a year and I'm so glad her first time was able to be for her birthday and in Chicago's Millennium Park.
Then it was off to Annie's for cupcakes and presents. Then staying the night at Allison and Joels.
One of the best parts of the day was when we were leaving Water Tower Place. Dan had met us for lunch and was not coming to skate with us so he was leaving a different way. Reese yelled "Love you, Uncle Dan" across the mall to him. It was so sweet.
We had brunch with everyone before we headed back to my dad's then home.
It was really a wonderful weekend with everything working out perfectly.
Happy Birthday, my little Reese.
