We went camping with my Mom's birthday weekend at Turkey Run State Park. This was one of the places that I wanted to take Reese to upon our return to Indiana.
We had a lot of fun playing frisbee and at the playground.
On Saturday, we went canoeing down the river in the morning, then drove to an Amish market where we picked up amazing ice cream, Traffic Jam, salsa and apple butter. After dinner, we went to the nature center to hear a talk about the sounds of nighttime.
Sunday morning, we went for a hike on the beautiful trails. Since the suspension bridge was damaged during a flood this spring, we had to get to the canyons a different way but it worked out wonderfully. There were not many people on the trails which was nice.
We brought water shoes with so that Reese could change and splash around in the water. She loved it!
She also pooped in the woods for the first time, which was an experience.
It was a beautiful weekend out in nature. Exactly what we needed.
