Well, I remember someone saying that the blogging that I did when I first received custody of Reese was not sustainable and what do you know, it's not. We have had some great days and trips that I haven't documented here but wish I had. I am hoping to go back and add some blogs about what we have done in the past three months. We finished the year of preschool and began summer camp (which we are finishing this coming week). We took a trip to the ocean and Disneyland then spent a week in Indiana with family. But we have also had many days where nothing monumental happened but that I still wish I had documented. Oh, well... I like to think that I have lived life instead of documented it, though I am not sure that is true. Living in the moment is still sometimes hard for me.
I don't have much down time, as you have noticed from this blog. When I do, I have been wanting to escape my head by reading (actually reading fiction! It has been wonderful when I can keep my eyelids open.) and crocheting while I watch a movie. I have been crocheting a lot of hats lately (children's hats, let's not get too ambitious here) and really enjoying it. I made Reese a sunhat for California and, of course, one for Sophia too!
Reese is still wonderful. She is so smart and beautiful. Her hair is so long it now tucks into her underwear and she says things everyday that surprise me. She has such an amazing vocabulary! She is always on the move, dancing, singing, talking. She is growing taller and is a skinny little girl but she is strong and fearless. Practically perfect in every way...
I always think about blogging but then I hear the characters from my book calling or a crochet project that I have put some unrealistic deadline on. Speaking of... I will think of you often, neglected blog.
